I went to watch the movie Newyork yesterday.. made me think a lot of things. the most prominent one amongst those topics was religion and seems this one topic seems to love lingering in there. It kept echoing the last dialogue from the movie "A Wednesday"...."Insaan naam me mazhab dhundta hai".. That Man searches for religion in a name. Its so true.. and the search doesn't end there..it goes region specific too. we try to figure out where he/she is from, then may be generalise the community they belong to. Its a detailed search....
Religion as they all claim leads to the same God and His preachings. Then why does a brother fight with another? To what I read in The Holy Bible, there is a mention of two brothers fighting and religion was already specified for both of them. So was this meant to be this way? Is this God's unique way to put an end to His beautiful creations? Why do we have to take refuge in religion and do such Nasty things? Why on earth do we have to bring in so much of voilence? And who is benefitting from all this? Why should thousands of innocent souls be crucified for the benefit of handful? Why couldn't those handful be crucified instead? How on earth do we justify that we are being ruled by personifications of Satan and Not GOD? Why does Man have to be so SELFISH?
While America is bound to prove and maintain as the superpower, does it even think on humanitarian grounds on the ways it adopts to become one? And we call it a fight of religions..christians on one side and the Muslims on the other? Are they both not humans? Does the colour of blood change from one man to another based on his religion? If not then why do one section feel glad on seeing the bloodshed of the other? Doesn't it pinch a bit to see all that?
I remember the night when the mumbai attacks happened. The world watched helplessly the actions of a few with tears in thier eyes...as though nothing was in our hands. We united in grief of those who lost thier near and dear ones in the attack but that unity wasn't sadly powerful enough to defeat the desires of those handful few behind this heinous crime.
Life just moved on as if nothing happened.. another sunrise..another hope that all shall get better soon... a hope that all of us know is as fake as saying that there is peace and harmony in this world. Now what rings in mind in MJ's song "We are the world"..

I dont know where and how this can end but if prayers do get answered then May God Bless us with this one wish that probably each and every heart is wishing for.. Peace and no riots in the name of religion.. no riots that rips apart families and meaning of Love.
